Good morning, Union Siblings,

Happy Friday! We hope your first week of the Fall Semester has been a great start to what we know will be a busy and impactful semester ahead.

We wanted to take a moment to reflect on the amazing turnout at last Friday’s CCE Fall Semester Kickoff! It was incredible to see so many of you come together, enjoy one another’s company, connect with fellow classified professionals, and hear important updates from your union.

This is what Always Us looks like. It’s showing up for one another, staying informed, building relationships, and standing together as a union. Our strength has always come from our members, and when we come together, we remind ourselves that we are the union.

As promised, we’re sharing the Negotiations Deep Dive from last Friday. If you missed the negotiations update, we strongly encourage you to take some time to review the presentation and become familiar with what is currently at the bargaining table. We also encourage you to read the State of the Union statement from our President, Anel Gonzalez, for an important update on our union and the work ahead.

Knowledge is power, and an informed membership is a strong membership. The more we understand what’s happening, the better prepared we are to support one another and have meaningful conversations with our coworkers.

As we move into the semester, we encourage everyone to stay connected, ask questions, share information, and continue showing up. There will be many important conversations and opportunities ahead, and every one of us has a role to play.
